At Miami Barber Institute, we believe barbering is about much more than mastering a craft. It is about building confidence, serving others, and making a positive impact in our community. That commitment was on display as our students and instructors proudly participated in the 2026 Band of Brothers Summit, hosted by OYC Miami, through our Free Haircuts Program.

The Band of Brothers Summit is an annual event designed to empower young men through mentorship, leadership development, and hands-on learning experiences. This year’s theme, H.I.M. (Hands-On, Independence, Mastery), encouraged participants to develop practical skills, confidence, and character while connecting with mentors and community leaders committed to their success.

We were honored to be part of this important initiative by providing complimentary professional haircuts to the young men attending the summit.

Serving the Community Through Our Free Haircuts Program

Lead Instructor Tomás Castillo led Miami Barber Institute’s participation in the event, working alongside our barber students to provide complimentary haircuts throughout the day. Under his supervision and guidance, our students had the opportunity to apply the skills they have developed in the classroom while serving young men participating in the summit.

A professional haircut is more than a service. It can boost self-confidence, reinforce self-respect, and help someone feel prepared to take on new opportunities. We are proud that our students were able to contribute to an event focused on helping young men build a strong foundation for their future.

Real-World Experience for Our Students
