BARBER PROGRAM
Our Barber Program, offered in English and Spanish, is a nine-month journey totaling 900 hours designed to equip you with all the skills for success. It goes beyond mastering the art of cutting, trimming, shampooing, and styling hair. This program delves into the world of hair chemistry, providing an understanding of the science behind the art. This knowledge gives you an advantage by allowing you to create solutions for each client.
RESTRICTED BARBER PROGRAM
If you’re looking for a pathway, our Restricted Barber Program might be perfect for you. In only six months (600 hours), this intensive program, also offered in English and Spanish, focuses on building a foundation and honing essential skills needed to excel in the Florida Restricted Barber License Exam. It’s an option for those to kickstart their career without delay.
SERVING HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS
We warmly welcome high school seniors at The Miami Barber Institute, allowing them to begin their journey into barbering right after graduation. Our programs are tailored to cater to young individuals’ ambitions, providing them with the skills, guidance and knowledge to embark on a career in barbering quickly and successfully.
VETERAN-FRIENDLY
We take pride in supporting veterans by offering programs approved by the VA and aligned with Title 38 United States Code (Post 9/11 GI Bill®). We sincerely appreciate the dedication and sacrifices made by our veterans. Extend a welcome as they begin a new journey in the barbering profession. SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
The Miami Barber Institute provides the Economic Hardship Scholarship for non-traditional or immigrant students who face financial difficulties. This scholarship is awarded to individuals who demonstrate a work commitment to their families and a determination for academic and career success. The number of scholarships awarded may vary based on funding serving as an incentive for those with unwavering determination.
