Miami Barber Institute Promotes Eimy Almeida to Director of Academic Affairs
Miami Barber Institute promoted Eimy Almeida to Director of Academic Affairs. This step strengthens our academics, structured learning, and direct student preparation.
Almeida began her career in education in 2016, working in admissions, student services, career services, and academic operations. Her varied jobs gave her a full understanding of the student experience from start to finish.
She joined Miami Barber Institute on April 7, 2025, and monitors student performance in grades, attendance, advancement, conduct, and completion. She manages academic data systems and supports instructors to ensure consistent learning.
Her promotion is a strategic step. Miami Barber Institute is strengthening its academics and leadership. Campus Director Sergio Wong said, “Eimy represents the leadership we build here. She brings discipline, consistency, and deep knowledge of our students and academics.” He said her promotion enables a more structured and accountable education.
In her new role, Almeida will lead curriculum development, schedule academics, structure programs, and manage the hybrid learning platform. She will continue coordinating externships, supporting instructors, guiding new students, and overseeing academic processes to ensure measurable progress.
From an institutional perspective, this promotion aligns with a broader focus on outcomes and quality. Co-Owner and President Luis Castillo highlighted that “our focus remains on excellence and measurable student progress. Strong academic leadership ensures that our students are not only trained, but properly prepared to succeed in the industry.”
Almeida starts her new job with a sense of responsibility and purpose. She said, “This role means responsibility and purpose. I will strengthen our academics and support students at every stage, so they graduate with discipline, confidence, and real skills.”
At Miami Barber Institute, academic leadership is built from within. This promotion reflects a clear institutional priority: to maintain a structured learning environment where student progress is measurable, and career readiness is the standard.
