At MBI, we celebrate more than just diplomas—we celebrate legacy, talent, and the craft that defines our community. That’s why right after our 2025 Graduation Ceremony, the tradition continues with one of the most anticipated events of the year: the MBI Student & Alumni Barber Battle.

For years, the Barber Battle has been a defining moment for our graduates, current students, and alumni alike. It’s more than a competition. It’s a rite of passage. A chance to take the same energy, pride, and passion that powered you through school and put it on full display in front of your peers, your family, and a community that respects your hustle.

This year’s battle takes place immediately following the graduation ceremony on Sunday, August 10, 2025, 1 PM at the Miami-Dade County Fairgrounds—the same venue where you’ll walk the stage. From clippers to creativity, it all happens in one unforgettable day.

Who Can Compete?

All MBI graduates, current students, and alumni are invited to register. Whether you’re fresh out of class or already cutting behind the chair, this is your moment to represent your skills and style.

What Are the Categories?

Competitors can register for one or more of the following categories:

• Fastest Fades (30 minutes)
• Best Haircut (1 hour)
• Color & Design (1 hour 30 minutes)

Entry is just $25 per category, and every winner takes home more than a trophy—they earn the respect of the MBI family and recognition that opens doors. This event is attended by mentors, instructors, and professionals who know the value of standing out.
